Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our team. This role involves local routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight and materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck driving, including experience with different trailer types such as refrigerated trucks. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial refrigerated trucks on designated local routes.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies during route driving.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to safety standards related to freight handling, vehicle operation, and road safety.
Experience
- Valid CDL license with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck operated.
- Potentially sales acquiring new customers.
- Proven experience driving commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
- Delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and load & unload procedures.
- Familiarity with freight handling equipment such as electric pallet jack is a plus.
- Experience operating specialized vehicles like refrigerated trailers is advantageous.
- Prior experience in trucking or commercial driving roles demonstrating safe driving records and adherence to regulations. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safe driving practices and excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $1,400.00 - $1,800.00 per week
