Position Summary

The Linehaul (Shuttle) Driver is responsible for transporting full trailers from the Philadelphia Distribution Center (DC) to designated Company locations [i.e. FL] and returning loaded trailers to the DC. This role may also include occasional backhauls as operational needs require.

Key Responsibilities

As a Linehaul Driver, you will:

Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DOT inspection reports
Safely transport loaded and empty trailers between the DC and domiciles
Secure freight to ensure safe, undamaged transport
Maintain accurate driver logs (manual or Samsara) in compliance with DOT regulations
Complete linehaul, backhaul, and pickup runs as assigned
Operate in a safe and professional manner to prevent injuries and protect company assets
Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum age of 23
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A)
At least 6 months or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
Ability to meet Samuels Seafood Co. MVR and risk management standards
Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level necessary to safely perform job duties, including comprehension of work instructions, safety procedures, and required communications
