Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.

Duties

Operate tractor-trailer units to transport freight to designated locations.
Execute route driving efficiently, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
Manage refrigerated trailers, maintaining appropriate temperature controls during transport.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered on the road.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A ) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer units.
Familiarity with route driving and ability to navigate efficiently.
Experience operating flatbed trucks is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations is a plus.
Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles as needed.
Experience with forklifts and loading/unloading procedures is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
