Job description; Senior Operations Manager ( Class A CDL Required)
Location: Office location & main terminal Minooka, IL. Additionally, over operations out of PDC locations in Joliet (1) & Aurora (3).

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Operations Manager to join our team. The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the work of multiple facilities and their teams, as well as contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our local terminals, including managing a team of dispatchers, independent contractors, and managers, coordinating the transportation of freight, and ensuring the efficient and timely handling of shipments. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment and meeting all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the terminal's transportation and logistics activities, including the planning and coordination of the movement of freight, fleet maintenance and scheduling, and the supervision of dedicated routes and dispatch staff.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the company.
- Participate in long-term planning and decision-making to ensure the continued growth and success of the company.
- Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure that all aspects of the company's operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Hire, train, and develop team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, including complying with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- Class A CDL holder
- Experience with being managing a minimum of 60 drivers & 60 trucks fleet
- 5+ years of experience in terminal or logistics management.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software, including routing and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of transportation industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team to success.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis.
