Dependable Class A CDL Driver adept at safely operating commercial vehicles and trailers while strictly adhering to federal, state, and local transportation regulations. The ideal candidate will uphold all traffic laws and company policies, ensuring a courteous and professional approach. Additionally, maintaining accurate delivery records, collaborating effectively with crane operators, riggers, signalmen, and logistics teams, and consistently delivering exceptional customer service to clients and vendors are integral aspects of this role.
Responsibilities
Vehicle Operation: Safely operate and drive a Class A commercial vehicle and trailer in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Transport materials and equipment to and from specified destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Inspections and Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues promptly. Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and adheres to all safety standards.
Regulations and Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, including logbooks, bills of lading, and other relevant documentation.
Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with crane operators, riggers/signalmen, and logistics teams to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and setup of crane/equipment. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and vendors. Represent the company professionally, ensuring positive client and vendor experiences.
Job Shift And Schedule
- Full time Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm with occassional travel and overtime
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the construction or logistics industry
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and identify potential vehicle issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor as needed
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Experience working with crane operators, riggers, and logistics teams
- Knowledge of load securing and handling procedures
- Additional certifications in safety training or related fields
