Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Truck Driver to join our transportation team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to transport freight efficiently across designated routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles.
- Load and unload freight with precision, using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Drive route-specific deliveries, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to ensure punctuality.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly.
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or other specialized trucks to prevent damage during transit.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with tractor-trailer configurations.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable.
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods as needed.
- Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for commercial vehicles.
