Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of delivering freight efficiently and safely on these dedicated linehaul runs. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive on active driving, precise load management, and ensuring timely deliveries. We are a Federal Express Corporation contractor domiciled out of Greenwood. This is a "no touch" freight opportunity. You come home every day!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks. You will be assigned a dedicated Freightliner day cab with automatic transmission.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load security
- Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly.
- Minimum one full year of truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery operations
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling
- Excellent navigation skills for route planning and adherence to delivery schedules.
Weekly Schedule:
Monday and Saturday: Starts at FedEx facility in Greenwood, IN. You take an empty trailer to Clayton, Indiana and pick up a loaded trailer and take to Van Buren, MI. Return to FedEx facility in Greenwood, IN. Pays $412 a day. Start at 1pm.
Sunday, Tuesday and Friday: Starts at FedEx facility in Greenwood, IN. You take an empty trailer to a customer 5 miles away and do a same door swap and return to FedEx Greenwood with a loaded trailer. Then from Greenwood take an empty trailer to Clayton, Indiana and pick up a loaded trailer and take to Romeoville, IL. Return to FedEx facility in Greenwood, IN. Pays $325 a day. Start at 3:00 pm.
Total weekly pay is $1,800
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY: OFF
Paid Time off Program and Quarterly bonus in addition to weekly pay available after 6 months of service! 401k retirement program after one full year of employment, with $1 for $1 match up to 4% on income.
Qualifications: 12 months verified driving within the last 36 months or 60 months verified driving within the last 120 months. No accidents within the last 12 months and 1 accident max within the past 36 months. 1 moving citation max within the last 36 months. No felonies or misdemeanors involving theft or violence within the past 120 months.
Pay: $1,775.00 - $1,850.00 per week
