Join our dynamic team as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will operate tractor-trailers . You will be driving a day cab, manual transmission, 2002 to 2018 model year trucks. trailers will include frameless dump trailers hauling Scrap metal
Duties
- Safely operate and perform safe dumping procedures
- Load and unload freight efficiently using forklift or manual methods while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Drive route-specific deliveries, managing schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining excellent customer service
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates or issues encountered during driving shifts
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL Class A license
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely
- Experience driving frameless dump trailers
- Prior delivery driver experience with a focus on freight handling and load management
- Familiarity with route driving in local areas and navigating urban or rural environments efficiently
- Knowledge of load securing techniques and safety regulations related to freight transportation
- Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is a plus
