- Operate and drive vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of over 33,000 pounds
- Load and unload freight using appropriate handling equipment
- Ensure load contents are securely packed and organized
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs using both electronic and paper logbooks
- Retain fuel/toll receipts
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Adhere to truck driving rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report any defects, accidents, or violations
- Handle customer items with care and respect
- Communicate effectively with other crew members, clients, and move coordinators
- Be reliable, punctual, and available for flexible work schedules
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Able to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Willingness to work variable hours, which may include weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Valid Class A driving license
- Ability to lift heavy items and physically capable of walking up and down several flights of stairs
- Experience with an electric lift, hand truck, and pallet jack is preferred
- Complete a background check, DOT drug screening, and MVR check

Offered compensation: $28/hr - $35/hr
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
