Looking for a Class A CDL driver for dedicated local runs from New Castle Delaware to Philadelphia dropping and recovering mail for the United States Postal Service. Schedules are Monday-Saturday. START DATE WOULD BE JULY 1ST 2025
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving roles, including delivery driving, commercial driving, and operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers and dump trucks. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers and dump trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery while maximizing fuel efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during route driving.
- Ensure the secure loading and unloading of freight to prevent damage during transport.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Familiarity with various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and tankers.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and freight transportation practices.
- Ability to handle physical demands associated with truck driving, including lifting heavy loads when necessary.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS technology.
