Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently using a 26 ft box truck. This role requires adherence to all safety regulations and company policies while ensuring timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
Duties
- Operate trucks to transport freight over designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Manage route planning to optimize delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (C) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with freight transportation.
- Familiarity with operating a 26-ft box truck
- Experience as a delivery driver or in route driving is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
