Primarily responsible for operating trucks equipped with hydraulic lifting devices to collect containers of garbage and trash and transport same to disposal sites. Equipment must be operated and maintained in a manner to prevent equipment down time. Must perform equipment safety checks and pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Maintain clean and tidy vehicle. Must safety operate vehicle along designated routes, read route sheets and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor. Must courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers, and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner. Must continuously monitor waste for evidence of any unacceptable waste material in containers. Clean areas around containers and clean any accidental waste spills.
MUST HAVE CURRENT CLASS B COMMERCIAL LICENSE WITH AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENT
MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
MINIMUM ONE YEAR OF DRIVING EXPERIENCE
MUST BE PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF CARRYING UP TO 75 LBS, ABLE TO BEND, CLIMB, STOOP; WORK IN ALL TYPES OF WEATHER, DRIVING AND ROAD CONDITIONS.
