Job Description:
Company is looking for a CDL A Tanker Driver in the Ontario, Ca area. Drivers will be switching out trash compactors and delivering 40- and 50-yard containers to local landfills and recycling centers in the Inland Empire. Drivers will also be required to transport liquids in a 5,000gal tanker truck. This position will also require drivers to make occasional P&D runs from various vendor locations and will require loading and offloading of pallets only 10% of the time using an EPJ.
Essential Functions:
- Safe, efficient, and proper use of all company equipment.
- Adhere to all federal, state, corporate and departmental safety standards.
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspection.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company services policies and procedures.
- Report any safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Runs routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
- Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the load confirmation invoice, must obtain the proper signatures upon delivery. If any issues arise, must contact management for authorization when there are any discrepancies on the invoice.
- Maintain accurate driver log.
- Must turn in all inspection sheets and weigh tickets.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school Diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement)
- Two years of verifiable CDL A experience
- Tanker truck endorsement
- No more than 3 negative points on MVR and no more than 1 accident in the last three years.
- Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly.
- Must pass a DOT Drug screen & medical exam.
- Legally Authorized to work in the United States.
