Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy equipment operation and commercial driving, with experience in construction environments. This role involves transporting materials to and from construction sites while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks.
- Safely transport materials such as gravel, sand, asphalt, and other construction materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and mechanical integrity.
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate material delivery schedules and site requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs of hours worked and materials transported.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on public roads and construction sites.
- Assist in the operation of horizontal drilling equipment as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dump Truck Driver or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation is essential.
- Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery including Caterpillar models is preferred.
- Experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, tankers, and paving equipment is a plus.
- Previous experience working on construction sites is highly desirable.
