Midwest Automotive Trucking currently has an opening for a Dock Worker and Class A CDL Backup Driver out of our Hazelwood, MO location. Candidate must have Class A CDL license, have a clean driving record, a stable work history, and a good attendance record. Candidate will be working the warehouse most days, and then filling in running various truck routes for us when needed to cover vacations and sick time.
Shift:
- Monday - Friday Schedule
- 9am -3pm when working on the dock
- On call for filling in for driving routes when needed
- When filling in for routes, start times will vary between 12 midnight and 6am
- Applicant will be doing dock work most days
- They will be backup drivers to cover vacations and sick time for other drivers as needed
- No Weekends
- Paid Holidays Off
Responsibilities:
- Skilled forklift operator
- Material handling experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Operate a Class A CDL truck safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery and driving logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road
- Operate a forklift to help unload truck after route
Requirements:
- 5 years recent verifiable Forklift experience Required
- 2 years Class A CDL Required
- DOT Medical Card Required
- Will drive a Company Owned Truck
- Must be Able to Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen
- Pre-Employment Background Check is Required
